Our Story
since 2010
Matt Georges is a passionate and skilled breakfast chef with over two decades of experience in the industry. He first came to Iowa City in 2004 to attend the University of Iowa and quickly became familiar with the local breakfast joints, even working at a few old favorites, including The Motley Cow, The Red Avocado, and Hamburg Inn.
After frequenting the Iowa City Farmers Market as a customer, Matt was hooked, and Griddle Me This was born. Starting out with only his bicycle, a trailer, and a dream, Matt set off to create what he felt was the best breakfast in Iowa. Griddle Me This has since grown into the farmers market staple it is today.
Matt is in his element when chatting with other market vendors and shopping for the freshest produce to complete his menu. One of his greatest joys in life is cooking breakfast for the good people of Iowa City.
